Dr. John Oró established the Neurosurgery Center of Colorado in 2005 shortly after relocating to Colorado from Columbia, Missouri. The Neurosurgery Center of Colorado is affiliated with The Medical Center of Aurora (TMCA) in Aurora, Colorado. Together with TMCA, specialized centers have been jointly developed including The Chiari Care Center and Neurovascular Surgery Center.

The Neurosurgery Center of Colorado provides care for patients affected by disorders of brain, spine and spinal cord, and peripheral nerves with special interest and expertise in: Chiari malformation and syringomyelia, brain and skull base tumors, aneurysms and other vascular malformations, facial pain, and vagal nerve stimulation.
